Sky & Water
During our historic pandemic, I began walking daily through the marshlands west of town. I felt that I was walking through prehistory, that I could count on seeing one small miracle each day. Occasionally, it was the musical reflection of clouds in water, a nonchalant bobcat, frolicking river otters, nesting bald eagles, the company of primeval alligators, and a billion species of voyaging birds. It was my own, private Noah's Ark.
